No Line Dance Classes on Public holidays

Class is cancelled this Sat, 1st May as it is a public holiday. Our next class will be on Monday 3rd May.

I guess its good to take a break after our Jamming Party and look forward to a new Line dance Season again with new dances. In order to motivate everyone to memorise dances and enjoy line dances without always over-exercising our neck muscles, here's the plan:-
1.To do more revision on new dances so that all line dancers can dance independently
2. To be able to memorise 10 dances and dance continuously , like in a mini jam.
3. To make this work, all line dancers will try not to miss classes. New dances will be taught on Wed and Sat only.
4.The Mon class is a revision class. However, if Sat is cancelled then the new dance will be taught on Monday.

Let's hope this works and we look forward to a most enjoyable mini jam in less than 2 months !!!
Our theme will be " A Fruity Delight", inspired by our "Swedish Delight".
You can guess our dinner menu - all types of fruits as appetizer, main course and dessert. Our attire shall be , of course "colourful fruits". I want to look like an Orange, as sweet as the ones we had at our recent jam.

Revision for line dance You and I

Please refer to our blog archive for NOVEMBER and you will find the stepsheet and video clip. It will be faster if you can go to SEARCH (left hand margin)and type in the dance name.
A very beautiful and enjoyable dance to a lovely music which I am sure all will like.
This dance will be included in our jamming party. As many did not attend the teaching last year, we will revise a few times.

We are sorry to have to cancell WALK WITH ME as most are not able to remember the steps. If you can recall I taught this dance repeatedly 3 times. On the brighter side, we shall attempt this dance again next week and if we are successful as a GROUP it will definitely be back on our list. The choice is yours, to put in some effort to save this beautiful dance. (No point teaching again )

Our 1st jamming Party for 2010 on Wed 28 April

It will be wonderful if all of us can enjoy dancing together happily as a group. And we can shoot a video for remembrance.
To make my "dream " come true, I propose the following:-

1. To cancell all difficult dances like Do You Remember & Meet Me Halfway etc etc.
2. To revise again and again so that we can really enjoy the dances with confidence on our Party Night.
3. Each line dancer to accept the challenge to say "I can memorise all the dances" for the Party.

Always remember that we have taken up line dancing to have fun and at the same time to train both our brain and body to work together to become fit. And Age will remain only a number.

Please refer to our Jamming List at the Left Hand Margin.

Happy Dancing til I see you next Wed 14 April in the Sacred Heart Hall. Just in case you are not aware, all step sheets & video clips for your revision of each dance can be sourced from this website.

Changes in Class venue for April 2010

Sat - All sat classes will be held in John's Dance Academy from 2.30 to 4.30pm. Note: class cancelled on 10 April.
