Alison Johnstone and her Perth team danced with the "pirate head scarf" in the recent Kuching Party that we attended and it certainly created the right mood of the dance ( music from "Pirates of the Caribbean" )
So to give us the right ambiance to fully enjoy the dance and music, let's all bring a scarf/bandana to tie on the head & have fun. And maybe take a group photo?
This song “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction was performed at the recent Olympics closing in London.
The choreographer said, "The song was often played on the radio, in the malls, and I heard the song everywhere until I told myself, I just got to do this one. I especially love the part where they sang, “The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed”. So there I go, fitting the ‘hair flip’ motion into the dance every time that part was sung!
The phrasing is a little tough though as there are 3 restarts and 1 tag in the dance, in order to fit the ‘hair flip’ part. But the good news is that all the restarts and tags happened at 3:00 wall, so that should be easy. The 32-count steps are fairly simple but the dance is rated intermediate due to the numerous restarts.
I hope you’ll enjoy the dance and flipping your hair! "

We must do this classic line dance by Simon Ward (1999). He performed for us in the Kuching workshop last year 2011 and I have been wanting to teach this exciting and challenging dance ever since.
This must be the most danced line dance from Simon's choreography.
